hi every one. i finally made it here. i got pics, and some questions.......

i have 1.2 long term wild caught striped AFTs. there set up like my leos in the breeding racks. in 28qt rubermaid containers. male is alone, and the females are togeater. they have a hide box, a calcium dish, a mealworm dish, and a water bowl. id like to eventually breed them. is anything i should change? and is there any one that can help me out with breeding suggestions?

Hey Nevin-- glad to see a familiar face on this board.
AFT's love and pretty much require belly heat, not sure if you mentioned that in your post. In our experience, our AFT's appitite doubled with 85-90* belly heat. She does not require an over head heat lamp because of this. Also, have you had your wild caughts tested for parasites/viri or were they vet checked before you aquired them?

A varity of hides are also helpful, especially if you are housing two females in a small enviroment...I've read in several books on AFT's that the min. requirement is about 10g per AFT-- however, our AFT is pretty spoiled with a 20g (long)and I do not have experience with small set ups and how the AFT would react.

i have them in 28 qt starelite containers, with heat tape under them. they have a humid hide, and thats it. they are long term wild cought, 3 years.
