This is a sad loss to Evolutionary Biology.

Several years back whilst working at MCZ I had the honour of meeting him. I consider it one of my most memorable moments as a Biologist.

I personally consider him to have been one of the greatest biologists of the 20th century.

He is one of the greatest scholars of the 20th century. If he had stayed in the medical field, perhaps we would have seen some breakthroughs in medical treatment. Good thing he decided to become a biologist instead.
