... hatching! After 6 MONTHS incubation.. (one of the 3 hatchlings I acquired in December 1998 laid this egg).. no words can describe the feeling.. my very first tortoise hatching ever!! Blessed again.

.. for "this"!! Thanks everybody.. wattaya think??? Look at the 'Columbian' red.. orange and yellow on that head - just a few hours old. And a sister or hers has pipped.. does it get any better than this??

.. when you consider the 1st clutch was laid 7/30/04! Then another 8/23/04. The 5 females are laying eggs on a 90 day 'cycle'.. 4 of them 'hit' this week.. what's going to happen in late July.. or thereabouts?? I'll have a bunch of tortlets to diaper.. won't I? Look in the 2nd incubator..
