Venomoids on the increase?

lateralis Mar 14, 2005 10:46 AM

It seems there are more and more of these for sale, what do you all think? I am not for it personally, but I think the temptation to own one due to the recent increase in bites is beginning to appeal to the newly interested venomous keeper.
Yes? No? Maybe?

Honestly, I dont think there so much on the rise at all. If you look, it is the same animals, give or take a few that have been on the classifieds forever. Half of the venomous classifieds have been the same snakes advertised for the longest time. Some company still advertises a W.A. Gabbon that was CH 02!!! I mean if it doesnt sell at the asking price of $200, common sense says to drop the price after a few years at least..lol. Anyways, the venomoid problem doesnt seem to be as prevalent as it use to be about a year ago or so at least in my opinion

I say before each venomoid sale, the vendor should provide video taped proof of a bite on themselves to verify that the surgery is legit. Heheheh, just my 2 cents. But yea, I've seen a lot of venomoids avail for sale recently, but I guess it could be because of the fact that the same ones are repeatedly up for sale.
