painted turtles....sicked????

when turtles grow ,,, the clear skin came off his legs, head everywhere rite

but now, the skin is white which makes me worry of... is he sicked????? my painted turtle is small like a tonnie size.

Yes they do shed a little at a time as they grow.
Does the white stuff look fuzzy? Is the skin white all over the turtle?

I lost almost 30 turtles last year. res,painter,snappers. They developed a white fungus on the rear leags and tail. The painters got mean and tried to biteme. It was clear that they were in pain. I soaked the rest in sulfa soap and they lived.
