Do softshell turtles need a basking ramp? I heard that they didn't because of their shell, that they were totally aquatic.. but just wondering.. thinkin about gettin a new one. Well, thanks for your time..please reply!

Softies are highly aquatic, but they do bask. It's important thet you provide them with a basking area. If you leave them without one, it could lead to health problems, one of the most common being shell fungus. Hope this helps. ~Christy
