Well I noticed yesterday that one of my painteds had brown spots on its stomach and shell. I also noticed that it was very slugish and was not going in the water. So today when I went to check on it, it was dead. I just got her from a pet store and I am wondering what these brown spots could be? I don't want it to be spread to my other 2 that were in the pond with the other turtle. I feel so bad for it and was wondering if it could be stress or something caused by a racoon that was in my pond but did not get any of the turtles. Any ideas?

I doubt very higly that this was stress related. Did you take her back to the store? If you purchase any more turtles you really need to quaranteen them before putting them with your others.
