Cherry-head vs Red-foot

Hi All,

I was wondering which will grow faster given the same diet and on average how long does it take for them to reach 4 inch SCL
Thanks in advance

I have found that the growth is about the same with cherryheads (which are redfoots too) growing a bit faster.
I have had hatchlings grow to over 3 inches in a year with little if any pyramiding.

Thanks for the reply

So for my Cherry Head to be around 4 inch long can i say that they r about 18 months old .How old or how long do they have to be to be sexed correctly ?All i can see now is that the tail size is about the same only the Anal scutes is different in one of them so it is either 1 male or 1 female .

Cheers
SAM

You cannot say anything for sure at this size.
As for age, even that would be a guess. They could be older too based on how they were raised prior to you getting them.
I can't reliably sex them until they are around 6 or 7 inches.
