hhhmmmmm,
Mine eat all I can give them.....I watch how much I feed them. I am curious now that it is 5 days later from your post how they are eating. They will generally eat anyting.

Here is what I feed mine. Feeder guppies, leaf worms, floating pellets, comets (goldfish) and I have even treated them to things like bologna (TREAT). Keep trying to mix it up. Mine have eaten since day one that I have had each one. I just tried dried shrimp but I have to check with my gf to see if they ate them......we are moving, I am here and she is there

If you don't fish, leaf worms can generally be picked up in a gas station (at least around here) for about $2 for 30. feed him 2 or 3 a day. I use hemostats(??) to basically hand feed them.

I hope all is well.

I started mine out on plain redworms and even cut them up for him at first. He's graduated to nightcrawlers as his favorite of foods. Of course he's much bigger now. He's never refused anything that moves actually. Try live things, then gradually even work in some Reptomin pellets. Variety is always best.
