growth rates of red foots

ssraymond1102 Jul 04, 2005 03:55 PM

Does anyone have any info on how slow red foots grow. My red foot is 7 years old and has a length of 7". He is Cbb. I have had him since he was 6 months old. He has been raised outside in south florida since he was about 1 year old. He has some pyramiding of his shell because I was lazy when he was 2-3 years old and feed him only prepared box turtle food for that year. I do know that he is still growing because I measured him 6-8 months ago and he was only 6.5/6.75 inches. Is this normal.

Thanks Scott

I don't know the answer to that, but I can let you know what my RF's size is. She is 4 years old and weighs about 1685 grams and is about 8" long. I was kind of thinking she is a little large, but there is no pyramiding and she is not fat, by all means. Just little info for you!
