our Russian tort has the run of the house during the day and become very socialized, following us from room to room. recently he figured out where the good stuff comes from, the fridge. if we haven't fed him by afternoon, he hangs out at the fridge until someone feeds him.

But I think they are doing it for the heat that is released from under the fridge, maybe no thought, eitherway I have always thought it was pretty funny!!!

we think he is about 5 years old. he is about 6" and 575 grams, having increased in weight about 20% last spring after coming out of hibernation.
i too thought he was just seeking out the heat dump off the fridge at first, but he leaves the sunny front room where it is over 85 degrees to hang out there until he gets fed then he goes back and naps in the sunbeams in the front room. rough life, eh.
