Oh man I want that patternless one. Breed that sucker to a albino and let me get some of the offspring.

I don't know if i can do that, the milk chocolate patternless kingsnake is the rarest $25 Lampropeltis.
PLUS, my snakes only go to approved homes and since my hobby is not a business, money is not an issue.
Do you still w/hold water from your snakes or is it avail. 24/7?

HerperHelmz Aug 05, 2005 04:39 PM

It's amazing how many people disagree with not offering water to their snakes 24/7. With my set ups, it's alot better to not leave the water bowls in there everyday. Especially with the heat in my snake room, the temperature makes the water evaporate, and there is nowhere for it to evaporate to. So it lingers in the enclosure and makes the aspen bedding go bad.

After everyone commented on how I should leave water bowls in there, all of my kingsnakes have had a waterbowl for the last like 2 months, non stop. The aspen that is about 80% dry is the proof.

What kind of enclosures? what temp? MOST of my snakes don't mind 72-75 degrees.
I'm glad you like that patternless girl, i should of bought the other 2 patternless, that would be awesome to have a 1.2

To save room, the majority of my kings are in 20 quart rubbermaid containers. They are stackable. I don't have thermometers in too many of them, but when I do look at them, the temperatures could range from the 80s to the 90s during the day. It's really impossible to get it any colder than that during the day this summer. And during the night time it's low 80s to low 70s.

I wish that little guy was still that small lol. Wow, amazing at how much different he looks these days. He went from 13" to around 26" in less than a year. His pattern is alot lighter, he eats alot more, and still grows. That pic is quite a flashback.
