Please help with my cobra!!!!!!!

cobie Jul 31, 2005 11:47 PM

I have had this guy since he was 2 weeks old. He is now 4 feet long and refusing to eat. He started this about a year ago. The cobra will bite but then release the mouse instantly and slither in a backwards "s", or bite but then sling the mouse across the cage. He seems to eat pinkies better than mice. I'm not sure if he is sick or hurt, but any information or ideas would be a big help. I've had many cobras for many years, but this is the first time something like this has happened. Please help!!!!! Thanks!!!!!

Hi:

Can you give a bit more info:

Species of Cobra, how often do you feed it, is it defecating on a regular basis?

I'm not a cobra keeper, but it is quite likely a pain response. Either way it is grounds for an oral examination by someone who knows what they are doing, be it you or your hot vet.
