Need help with my African Clawed Toad!

freakfornature Aug 10, 2005 08:33 AM

Hello, new memeber, but enough about me. Wondering if anyone can help: I just noticed this morning that my ACT has red, pimple or blister-like sores on his front claws (one on each). They look so painful! He did eat, but with not as much enthusiam as usual (gobble, gobble) and it looked to be painful to do so. Any ideas? I have had him almost five years now and nothing like this has happened. Anything I can do? Thanks for all and any advice.

do you ever put a little aquarium salt in his water (acording to directions for freshwater tropical fish)? it will help prevent fungal infections and the like.

No I haven't, but I'll give it a shot if it doesn't hurt. Thanks for the help!
