Please be advised that the Australian snake expert Graeme Francis Gow has passed away on 12 August 2005 following a long battle with cancer, which was complicated by a recent bite from a death adder. He will be remembered for his original descriptions of the Australian pythons - Bredl's Carpet Python and the Oenpelli Python. His funeral will be in Darwin on 18 August.
