These two turtles as they were found in the wild ~

It's the only Eastern Painted Turtle i've seen at this Massachusetts location, the dominant turtle species here is the Spotted turtle. Over time, i've seen at this location, one Common Snapper, one Eastern Box, one Eastern Painted Turtle (pictured) and over sixty Spotted Turtles.
These two were so cute when they swam up to take a look at me in this remote location.

Wow a spotted AND a painted both swimming up to look at the giant creature holding that clicking box in his hand...
that's neat that they wanted to see rather than get away.

It seems to me that turtles that I have encountered in remote areas tend to be almost as curious about you as you would be in them. Its really cool and makes one feel like you just can't deny their intelligence
