I was wondering what people in here have had luck getting their baby spotted turtles to eat? Will they take pellets, or do they need other types of food?

wayne
We used to offer small earthworms. Baby turtles usually can't resist a wriggling prey item. So try some tiny earthworms, tadpoles if you can, waxworms, brine shrimp, and red worms. After a while you can throw some pellets in while they have already started feeding. They should take the pellets eventually.
Try blood worms, when I have a fresh batch of babies I use blood worms to coax them into eating and it always works. Be careful w/ most of the "good" breeders people rave about on here and other sites....alot of their wonderful captive bred spotteds aren't really what they say they are. That is a fact and because of them many of these spotteds never make it past their first year.
