Cerestes cerestes prefers wood to lay.

Oxyrhopus Sep 02, 2005 11:47 PM

This second gravid gal dug under rocks, rock dens, here and there and did not seem happy to lay. Tonight I put in the same piece of wood the first one laid under and she began to dig. As she dug, I noticed the eggs seemed to have dropped further to her vent as seen in the photo. I hope to wake to another clutch. This particular momma is just as pink as can be and the photo does not reveal her actual colors.

I guess she does not prefer the wood? She continued to go nuts looking for a place so I again added another rock den and she went in last night. This morning I found her with the eggs. I don't know how many yet but it looks like over a dozen.

Congrats again Dan...

Lots of hungry mouths to feed down the road. Those little snappers are really tough to get feeding...if you need a "foster dad" to help...let me know. DHV's are one of my favorites.
