Head bobbing in 3 month old red foot

Bunke10 Sep 04, 2005 08:01 PM

I just got a baby red foot who seems to be very healthy. I noticed however that his head bobs when he breathes. I didn't notice it while I was picking him out but once I got him home. Other than the head bobbing he is in great shape, clear eyes, no discharge, and is eating and going to the bathroom regularly. I just want to make sure that this is normal or else I will bring him to the vet. I have water turtles, snakes, and lizards but this is my first tort! Thanks for your help!

Mine did the same thing...now that she is older (and bigger) the bobbing is just in her throat. Don't worry... give him the right foods, environment, and enjoy.
