Hey, found this guy roaming around next to my house. I live in Austin, Tx in a pretty rural area. Anybody have any clues? Thanks.

That would be a Russian tortoise. Here is a link to a caresheet for them:

9 times out of 10 your neighbood wandering tortoise is going to be a russian. They are amazing escape artists.

Yes, it is a Russian.

You ought to put up signs in your neighborhood that say FOUND TORTOISE. Do not put what species it is. That way, when someone calls you, and tells you they lost a tortoise, you can ask them what species it is to prove it is really theirs...in case the person is really just someone looking for a free tortoise.

I know someone who had a Russian Tortoise escape from her yard a few months ago, maybe it's hers . . .

but she lives in PA and yours was found in TX, it would have to be a marathon russian tortoise.
