Marginated Tortoise

Here are the Three baby Marginated Tortoises that I picked up in Daytona It was hard to photograph them because all they do is move. I cannot keep these little guys filled up, they are always hungry.

Little cuties for sure! You will be amazed how fast they grow. Good luck, maybe someday we can trade a few hatchlings...Vic

Yes, I think they have already grown. They can knock out a plate of greens like you would not believe

This may be old hat to you, but just in case (you only get one chance to do it right with hatchlings) be sure they get lots of Calcium, as they are growing at a phenomenol rate. I use ground oyster shell and clean white eggs shells, they eat it up. Also cuttle bone and Calcium rich foods. Mine like Opuntia cactus. I have a couple of bunch grasses that are damp underneath, and they spend the days there...no pyramiding, and the damp area is probably preventing pyramiding. Good luck, Vic
