a few quick questions...

Hi Everyone, I used to come on here a few years ago but life has gotten a little busy and I disappeared. I have a 4 1/2 year old male AFT named Chron. My problem is that he seems really bored! I know that AFTs are pretty mellow to begin with but when I get him out of his cage he runs all over the place and climbs on things. In his cage he sleeps and just looks bored! I was wondering if there isnt enough in his cage or if anyone had ideas as to what i could put in with him to keep him busy while i am not home. Also what are everyone's views about having 2 AFT in the same cage, i thought maybe he just needs a buddy! I have a 10 gallon horizontal tank if that is important in your comments. Thanks a lot and I look forward to hearing from you and so is Chron!
Thanks
D

I would recomend a bigger tank if you are going to addd a new addition and make sure that there is lots of hiding places. I would go with a 20 gal long just to be on the safe side. Also try and introduce them to the tank at the same time. I would also add a few climbing places like some drift wood. My fat tails climb from time to time and I use a drift wood log for a basking spot. I have not seen them use it during the day but they are all over the place at night.

I hope this helps!

Thanks

Mike
