I'll reply with a couple of messages with attached pictures of Clyde and his "plate" collection.

Clyde rests, digs, and hunts under the plates. Here he is, emerging this morning.

Clyde rearranges his plates; he seems to prefer a flower-like pattern, and no matter how I stack the crockery, he changes it to his liking. Here he is, curled up and basking on top.

One surprise -- he sometimes curls himself tightly to sleep under one of the 6" plates! He needs to turn on himself almost three times in order to fit.

Cassie is in a separate enclosure for the moment. they got along fine, but she's so nervous that it was affecting Clyde. They do, however, spend a lot of time looking at each other by peeking over the edge of their homes.

I'll put them together full-ime once she calms a bit more.

I love that idea! I think I might try some plates for my own yellow-throat, since he prefers to hide out of sight (or sit on the other side of his enclosure, watching in bemusement as I dig around for him.)
