Cherryhead Redfoot Tortoise egg question....

kellywood23 Oct 03, 2005 01:08 PM

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when I should expect to see development in my tortoise eggs?

I have a total of 12 eggs right now in the incubator. The temperature is set at 86 degrees F. and the humidity is about 80%.

The eggs were laid as followed:

2 eggs (her first) July 10
5 eggs Aug. 9
5 eggs Sept 24

Thank you for your help and advice.

If you candle the July the eggs you should see veining by now. Maybe even in the August clutch too.

Don't be suprised if you don't see anything from her first clutch. Doesn't mean the following two aren't viable...
