Waiego or Indonesian tree boa?

williamLD Oct 09, 2005 04:56 PM

Are they the same?

I know Waiego is an island in Indonesia.

Indo tree boa refers to Candoia c. carinata, Waigeo island tree boas are just a specific locality of these.

Is there a true way to know if it truly came from this local?

Not that I know of. They're all highly variable in appearance but it seems to me that most of the really splotchy flowery patterned ones are labeled as non-waigeos.
