I dont think keeping adult N. Haje in a fish tank is the best choice.

I'm surprised someone actually noticed that. People are always posting pics of hots in fish tanks

Hi:

My Opinion about Aquariums:

I do not think it's wise to keep Venomous Snakes in Aquariums for many reasons, all of them involve safety. The whine I hear all of the time, "Real cages are too expensive" does not cut it at all. People have no problem spending top dollar for the snakes but really try to skimp on safely housing that expensive snake. When I add a snake to my collection most of the time the "housing" for the animal costs far more than what I spent on the snake. Typically $200 to $300 per enclosure, depending on the enclosure & configuration. People, you can't put a price on safety nor can you take back an accident once it's happened.

I'll give a more thorough reply when I have time. I generally make it a rule to never keep large, dangerous venomous snakes in aquariums any longer. In this circumstance, these are temporary quarters for temporary snakes (i.e., got the snakes in a package deal, moving them out asap). Thanks for noticing my ad though. Oh, and the room they're being kept in has been secured against escape for the past 4 years or so.

I keep a dusky pigmy in a $20L Critter Cage. The tank is $50, and the snake is $40. So does that count as "good" ?

....and adult Blue Footed Booby in a tupperware soup container.....

He "looks" happy in there, I guess, but there just isn't a lot of running room for him.
