My frog put his head out of the water and never noticed before for years; so I tested the water ph and ammonia levels which turned out good. Is it trying to tell me something?
Thanks!

same thing happened 2 my ADF axel. It thoguht it was dead. So i decided to feed it and it is fine. Was it at nyt wen u found ur ADF in this postition
It was passed away and felt bad about that, but I am trying to figure out why since having those frogs for years like 3 years or more. Plan to get more frogs anyway.
many aquatic frogs bask and put their heads out of the water.
xenopus do it all the time.
DO NOT disturb the frog if its doing that. It may be sleeping! I have had aquatic frogs do that at night or during the day and stay motionless.
Another thing to add.
Frogs will "float" (bask more) if they are ill. Typically, it is accompanied by loss of appetite or lots of skin shedding.
Remember, dwarf frogs are best not fed bloodworms.
