? re: Cobras In His Garden

Hey everyone,

I ordered a copy of Cobras In His Garden on Amazon the other day. I thought the copy was supposed to be first edition, but it isn't listed on the inside of the book. Is there a way to determine with certainty whether this is a first edition book or not?

BTW, I'm thrilled I got the book, 1st edition or not. It's a great item. Bill Haast signed it, but personalized it to some lady. haha. I've only had time to flip through the pictures, but was very excited. After meeting Ray Hunter last month, I really decided I wanted this book.

Thanks much,
Dave

Some books will actually say "1st printing" on the copyright page...if it is a second printing, they will say 1st printing, and then the date, and then what date that particular printing was published.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your copy on Amazon? The best price I've seen as of late was a couple hundred bucks...kinda out of my range, lol.

I have a third addition copy printed in 1975 and the first addition was printed in 1965.

You guys are scaring me here. I have a copy (third printing 1975). What makes this one unique is that not only was it signed by Haast on Sept 8, 1984-the day before the Serpentarium closed for the last time-but I also have a photo of him doing the actual signature!

Damn, it doesn't seem like 21 years ago...
