swimming around in circles

simonhiss Nov 15, 2005 04:20 PM

Hi,

My softshell is acting strange. When I feed him (waxworms) he usually swims right to them and grabs them. Now when I put a waxworm in he attempts to get it but swims in circles. I checked his eyes to see if they were red or swollen but they're fine. Does anyone know why he swims around in circles and keeps missing his food?

when he is just floating, is he tilted to one side of his body? is there any nasal discharge? both of these are signs of respiratory infections and require a trip to the vet.
