Hey guys, I was just wondering what size crickets you feed your fat tails. Thanks.

Depends on the size of the fat tail. Adults can easily eat large crickets. A good rule of thumb for smaller ones is....... no larger than half the length of the geckos head. Anyone correct me if I'm too far off. My male eats 6-10 large crickets every night or two. I have two small, 25 grams, females that will take that many 1/4 inch crickets per night. Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Quig. I am stuck in quite a quandary, I am having a hard time getting my female to put on weight. She won't eat worms, only crickets, and large crickets seem a little to big, so I just feed her boat loads of small ones, probably 10-15 a day. She eats them and loves it, but crickets don't have a lot of meat on them. She has gotten a little fatter since i got her but progress is slow. Any Ideas? thanks.

I'm afraid I can't be much help there. All mine only eat crickets. If you want to try a bit larger crickets you might let her go a day or two without and then only put in one or two at a time. Sometimes to many crickets at once may freak em out and they just go hide. Hope this helps.
