ornate wood turtles & live plants

Garyoutlaw Dec 01, 2005 04:57 AM

I would like to add live plants to my tank but am unsure of what is safe for the turtles should they munch on them. I have about 20 gallons of fully cycled water that is prime for ram cichlids if I can get some cover for them to hide in...opinions please-Gary

Are you keeping ornate woods in a tank full of water? i dont get it.

Ornate woods are a 50/50, tropical, humidity loving turtle.

Water plants I'm sure are totally safe. you can also give them roamine, red leaf, green leaf lettuces. Mazuri. Other veggies. Mine went insane for pumpkin. They like earthworms too.
