Greek vs. Hermanns

b_rickard Dec 07, 2005 02:48 AM

Hello all. Quick question. I have a tortoise, supposed to be Hermanns. What are the distinctive characteristics between a greek and hermanns. I want to know for 100% certainty he is a Hermanns.
Thanks,
Barry

Hermanns always have a nail at the end of their tail, Greeks don't.

My tortoise has a "nail" on the end of his tail, and spurs on his thighs - I was told he was a Golden Greek - they for sure are not supposed to have little spikes on their tails?
