I take it no extra heat needed/used for rubber boas?

Jeanin Dec 29, 2005 07:51 PM

Hi
After reading the posts I take it no extra heat needed for rubber boas? I ask because loking into one out local pet store got 3 one ate he sold it and 2 left that didnt eat.
My house during winter is 68 but I can use the non heated walk in closet in basement ( 60 degrees) if thats better and come early spring bring them upstairs.
These havent eaten yet and thus thats why havent bought them yet both around 8 inches look healthy . Petstore owner said he would try brained pinkies this weekend.
If one or both eat he knows to call me as I want them. My concern was not sure of temp but after reading these posts imagine room temp is fine.

Try checking out www.rubberboas.com. Also make sure they are captive bred. Captive bred Rubber Boas are starting to become more and more available in the pet trade, so no sense in buying wild caught and worring about parasites...just my opinion though..
