HELP - Gecko Injury

jacarandas Jan 11, 2006 09:08 AM

I have a three-year-old fat tailed Gecko, and last night one of our cats broke the screen and got into the cage. It seems we reached them in time so that there was minimal injury to anything vital, however the skin was ripped open on his tail, exposing glistening white pink underneath, the size of about a third of his tail. He seemed fine otherwise, but what do/can I do?
Thank you!

I would probably put something like neosporin on it,fold the skin back where it should be and wrap it with something to keep the skin in place. Not sure it'll tolerate something wrapped around it's tail or not , but I'd try.
