I've got a male fattie I had shipped to me 3 weeks ago. I'm worried because he hasn't really eaten since I got him (maybe 1 or 2 small mealworms; he's used to mealworms and ignored crickets when I offered them). I've managed to get the temps on the warm side to 85F - 89F, although the previous owner kept him at 94F. I know he was completely healthy when I received him, and his tail is still quite fat.
I'm wondering if he could be off feed because of shipping stress still, or if it's the somewhat lower temps, or if I should relax because the cooler temps of shipping put him into a winter cool down. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!

If I had to guess, I'd raise the temps up a touch. If it is used to 90 plus degrees, cooler temps might be the problem. Can't hurt to try. JMHO.

I finally got his temps up in the 90's yesterday, and he moved to the cool hide last night, and still didn't eat. So I guess he just wants to cool down for awhile. I've switched his lamp back to the one that keeps his cage at 85F, so he can go back and enjoy his favorite hide.
He's not lost any weight I can notice, and my female is eating like crazy still with her heat at 85F. I'm thinking he's just decided to bruminate? I just wish I'd had him awhile eating before he did this!
Anyone have any comments or suggestions?
