First, I would stop all dry food. It sounds like your cat might have feline rhinotracheitis, which is helped, but not cured, with lysine. You might also try giving a homeopathic Feline Upper Respiratory Tract Nosode on a daily basis. You could give echinacea on a daily basis; long term use is not contraindicated.
