I'm hoping one of the forum admins or event coordinators can clear up a quick detail regarding the new Live Cargo Inspection policy update posted in the announcements yesterday.
For those of us who are booked for the upcoming National Expo shipping blocks, it mentions that all outbound reptile and amphibian shipments must now include a third-party veterinary health certificate tied directly to the specific container barcode rather than just the generic interstate transit permit.
My question is: if our couriers are regional sub-contractors who handle the last-mile drop-off but operate under their own separate USDA-certified carrier numbers, do we need to register them as official secondary handlers with the registry beforehand, or can we just submit their transit manifests along with our primary permit number during the morning intake window?
I just want to make sure I have all the paperwork squared away before we load up the climate-controlled units and head out. Thanks in advance for the help!
