Hello everyone,
I have had 2 adult male russian torts for about 2.5 years now. When I first put them together (after having them apart for about 6 months first), outside in a neutral place, they actively sniffed each other and then the larger one tried to bite the smaller one on the face. I moved him before it could happen, though. A week later when I tried again, the larger one again bit at the smaller one, only he bit his foot this time, and I had to take him away. I kept them seperate for a couple months, then tried again...this time the smaller one was now bigger than the other one. Now the bigger one tried to bite the smaller one... Anyways, I have kept them apart since then.
4 months ago I adopted another adult male russian, who is on his own for quarentine (but has been vet checked and is healthy). Once summer comes I would like to build one large outdoor enclosre to put all of them in, but I'm afraid of them biting and hurting each other...this new one is smaller than the other two.
Is there any easier way to introduce them, or will they have to "duke it out"...and if they do, will they eventually stop? I've seen pics of lots of russians together (both male and female)...and I've heard that males can live together peacefully as long as no female is present...
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
