Depending on who you ask, humidity is supposed to range from 60% to 80%. I've never had success with just misting in keeping humidity up. Can you cover part of the top of the cage with glass or acrylic sheets? I took apart old picture frames for the glass and taped the edges. The humidity will raise at night automatically since the lights are off - I wouldn't run the humidifier at night for that reason, but maybe others have different experience with that.
