About those gophersnakes. They hung out in the same place until late Jan. Then moved on. I could tell they left very quickly as the holes all of a sudden had packrat tracts.

As I found the first one, as it was crawling, I have no real idea where their "chosen home" is. It was fun to see them eat all winter.

It was only cold when I first found them in early Dec., then again last weekend. Inbetween that is not not cold at all.

I was out today, remember, its past beyond bone dry here, its nasty death to all living things dry. But even so, I saw five different gilas, two lyres and three diamondbacks, and a real dead tortosise. I went out for two hours. Got a some good pics too. Cheers
