I have my two fatties on that forest floor stuff, which they seem to like and looks nice. But I've just switched my male tang albino to crickets, and am afraid that as he didn't grow up hunting crickets like my female het did, he might swallow a stick or something. I watched him hunt last night, and even when he missed he didn't grab substrate, but it's a concern for me. I was thinking of putting him on that fake reptile green carpet stuff, but I'm afraid he'll damage his feet on it (catch a nail).
My husband thinks I'm worrying too much, but I'm very proud of this guy and want to keep him healthy.
Any ideas on this? Anyone else use forest floor?
