After purchasing an adult female frilled dragon, I noticed a fluid filled sac (blister-like) on the inside of the frill. Other than this the frill seemed perfect. However after a couple of days it became extremely dry like paper (rigid and stiff and began to fall of). I tried soaking her in a warm water bath and increased the humidity of the tank. But, this did not seem to be working. Also, the problem does not seem to be limited to the frill as the rest of the body has poorly conditioned skin. I thought maybe that this was a humidity problem but increasing the humidity has done nothing and the other frilly in the tank was fine prior to introducing this new frilly. I immeditialy noticed that there were mites on the frill so I used a spray that day and they have been gone since. But it seems as if this is some kind of internal parasite. Can anyone help me w/ this frill deterioration/skin problem?
