I know I'm not Jason, but I have read that after a month a captive is deemed "unreleasable" for various reasons, including possibility of transferrence of disease to a wild population. Another thing to consider, is the individuals on hand. Most reptile studies indicate that adult animals released within a 1 kilometer area from their capture tend to acclimate and survive, while not adapting further. Granted this is a new series of studies, but it doesn't sound like a good idea to just release them any old place. My thoughts.
