I would suggest henkeli. You can purchase a nice pair relatively cheaply, they are a good size, they are hardy and tolerate slightly higher temperatures than other Uros, and they usually acclimate to become a pet that tolerates occasional handling.

Most important of all, henkeli readily breed in captivity, the eggs are easy to incubate, and the babies are big and hardy. Sooner or later, imported Uroplatus are going to become fewer and more expensive. We should try to establish some species in the hobby. Henkeli are probably our best bet for the captive propogation of Uros, and therefore we need people who breed them.
