We have a brown anole that up until a few weeks ago had been perfectly healthy for several months. A few weeks ago he began to show problems with using his hind legs and keeping his place on a tree limb, but was otherwise perfectly healthy. We put him into a smaller critter keeper and we put his tree branch on ground level so that he could climb up on it with no problems.

About a week ago we noticed that there was a mysterious small chunk taken from his tail, but now it's healed. This morning we found that an entire segment of his tail was missing! He has no cage mates that could be attacking him and I can't find any information about any bacterial infection that could be causing this.

If possible, I'd like to get him jumping around again and get his tail healed.
