I recently purchased 2 adult rosys and I have several babies at the moment as well. For some reason from the time I have gotten them they have been aggressive. The female will lung out and strike at anything that comes near her repeatedly. The male just seems to be a little frightened and will strike and then quickly release realizing that my hand is not food. I do not understand this behavior because all of the babies that I have are so friendly and seem to enjoy being handled. Is there anything I can do to make them not strike at me. I wash my hands before I go anywhere near the enclosures. I make sure no other animals are around. I do not move quickly and always come from below, not above. I am afraid if they keep up with the aggressiveness I may have to get rid of them. I enjoy handling my snakes and it is a real bummer to see such beautiful snakes that do not want to be touched. Plus it is hard to clean cages and so forth when all they want to do is bite. Can somebody please help me?
