Hi guys, I have a female tokay who is about 2-4 years old. She's been laying eggs lately (I have a pair in a 120gal cage) and eats just fine. She has lost her tail to a mysterious circumstance (the tail is nowhere to be found...could she have eaten it herself?).

The area is healing over, but there is a strange piece of green slimy looking stuff on it. It is hard, and is sort of a teal or green color (like a tomato hornworm). I touched it and it doesnt seem to hurt her...

The question is,
a) does anyone know what this might be?
b) How long should it take a gecko of this age to regenerate (if at all)? Any tips you guys can give to help her out?

Thanks in advance!
