I chose to do this becouse its much easier to clean and is still big enough for it to swim and for me to provide a basking area wich is very important. I provide it with a heat lamp uv light and water heater. It seems to be doing very well and I look forward to putting him in a bigger tank maybe a 20 to 55 gallon to provide him with a more naturalistic enviorment good luck!
