Back when I use to keep Alligator Lizards (they were my first kind of Lizard) we offered them vitamin rich leafy vegetables, like spinach etc. - which they readily took.

I plan to do the same with my WC female (haven't yet) and her offspring if she is in fact gravid (I suspect so).

NOTE - Dr. Stebbins told me not to use Lettuce because most kinds of very poor nutritionally. Years ago, I remember spinach being their favorite - they also liked brussel sprouts and would even eat shredded carrots.

Anyway - I think I am going to use supplements this time around.

I bought some "Rep-Cal" phosphorus-free Calcium w/ Vitamin D3 today - put a little in the cricket bag and shook it. I know Calcium and Vitamin D3 is the important ones, but the bottle recommends something called "Herpvite".

Opinions on that?

I suspect that with fresh leafy vegetables made available, the calcium and D3 is sufficient, but opinions of others are certainly valued. It's been years since I've kept any, and a lot of new information I'm sure exists.
