I'd let her gorge herself before you leave If she tends to go through her water or if it doesn't tend to last a full week, I'd add a larger bowl (not large enough to drown her).

Good luck to both of you on the eggs. I have noticed brown staining in the past from cocconut fiber, but unless the egg is smelly or moldy, it's best to avoid lifting it.
